I am trying to see if I can import soap ui (Ready API) test cases to apidog. I see ‘Import Cases’ button in the docs, but not in my UI. Is this because export is from ReadyApi ? Or is it because it has virtual server components as well?
The import options vary depending on the file format. Endpoint cases in Apidog are request cases based on endpoints. If your imported file doesn’t contain endpoint cases, you won’t see the “Import Cases” option - instead, you’ll be prompted to choose whether to automatically generate a successful endpoint case.
The import options vary depending on the file format. → Its a soapui test exported as zip, which I unzipped , and imported the xml file. If your imported file doesn't contain endpoint cases, you won't see the "Import Cases" option → The imported xml file does contain test cases as highlighted in the screenshot with big rectangle. The xml file has 4 endpoints, which does get imported. But the test cases, as seen in the readyapi screenshot in the middle, does not get imported. Below is screenshot from ready api that I am trying to import . Can you tell me if those test cases should have got imported? Also, ‘Import cases’ is same as “Import test cases” right?
Currently, importing from SoapUI only supports importing endpoints and does not yet support generating test cases. We plan to improve this feature in the future.
thank you
Do you have any ETA yet on when this feature might be available?
We don’t have a specific ETA yet, but we’re planning to improve this feature in the next quarter.
Are you looking to migrate all your API automation testing work from SoapUI to Apidog?
Could you share the exported SoapUI data with us at [email protected]? This will help our development team better understand which SoapUI features you’re using, so we can prioritize supporting those specific functionalities.
We are looking at alternatives to soap ui, and wanted to look into apidog. But being able to migrate test cases, data, environments, and mock services would make it really helpful. I am testing with sample project that comes with SmartBear’s ReadyAPI documentation, fyi.
