Requests proxying and response time

Is it possible to disable request proxying through https://web-proxy.apidog.com/api/v1/request from the browser?

This proxying is adding approximately 300 ms to the response time for all requests.

Alternatively, is there a way to hide the response time?

Hi Mark , thanks for reaching out to Apidog Support channel. I have some queries to ask based on the 2 issues .

“Could you confirm if you’ve recently made any changes to your Apidog proxy settings or configuration? Additionally, are you using the Apidog proxy for all of your requests, or is the issue specific to certain endpoints?”

This will help us to understand both the setup and whether the issue is affecting all requests or just a subset.

  1. Could you confirm if you’ve recently made any changes to your Apidog proxy settings

No, I haven’t made any changes. As I understand, the “Apidog proxy” is applied to all requests from the browser. If this is not the case, please let me know how to disable it.

From the desktop app, everything is fine because it does not use the Apidog proxy.

Mark Thanks for the response. If you are referring to the Apidog Online, you can modify the agent in the bottom of the window. and the API Documentation can select the Proxy when publishing.

is there a way to hide the response time?

Hi Mark the response time visibility within Apidog is expected behavior and currently no option available to hide it. thanks for understanding.

Mark out of my curiosity , can you please share why you want to hide the response time? It may lead us to considering this option in the future versions.
thanks again.

Mark Hi, we are locating this issue. But from our end, didn’t reproduce the issue. The agent wouldn’t effect the request time normally. Could you provide more detail in your case? Some screenshot would really help a lot. If that’s not possible, could you share more detail which feature or what panel you are using?

Hi , We have carefully assessed your issue, and our findings indicate that the request time for Cloud Agents is currently longer than usual. For time-sensitive test scenarios and also as you are using the web versions, you can find and enable the web extension from the Chrome Web Store while using the web version. Here is the link : https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/apidog-browser-extension/dmhljjnonlhapikmelaefohecogokhio?pli=1

If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.

For example, I need option to hide request time, to use “Apidog proxy” without web extension. Because not all people will install it.

But I want they see real request time.
