Hello, I have a problem with NTLM authorization. I am converting from Postman, where the authorization always worked. However, when I send an absolutely identical request in Apidog I always get 401. The request also ends up with 200 in Insomnia. Any idea what I need to change or why it works in Postman and Insomnia and not in Apidog?
Thanks for the feedback.
Can you provide the operating system, environment, and the version of Apidog used so that we can try to reproduce it.
It’s Windows, ENV #2380493 , version 2.6.24
We deployed an NTLM protected endpoint using IIS on Windows Server 2022, calling it using Apidog, and it worked fine.
What is the server technology stack of your endpoint? We will try it.
Windows server 2019 standard, IIS 10.
Compared to the NTLM token that comes out of postman, the NTLM token from apidog is much shorter. I don’t really know why is that and if that could be the issue.
We use SSO for identification in our application and are seriously considering switching to Apidog, this is the only problem we have. If we buy enterprise licenses, will this work?
Thanks, we will test the endpoint on Windows Server 2019.
Are there any settings that could cause me to always end up with a 401?
When you inputed your NTML username and password, did you input extra spaces at the end?
No i checked that
Are you using the web app or the native client?
Also, are you using a proxy server?
We have reproduced the issue. It’s trigger condition is to set the registry’s HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\LmCompatibilityLevel to 5.
The fix for this issue will be included in a new version released in two weeks.
I apologize for my recent inactivity. Thank you so much for your support. I’ll let you know if this helps us resolve the issue.
Hi, I tried again today and it still doesn’t work. Can you please give me a release date that should solve my problem?
We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience you have caused. It is expected to be next Monday, and we will notify you in a timely manner after it goes online.
Hello, we have released Apidog 2.6.30 for NTLMv2 compatibility. Please update the App and try it.
