Hi team, I was bulk testing our APIs and stumbled upon this problem where I multiple times updated our endpoint spec accidentally because of the hover of “Inconsistent” marker automatically showing up right over the “Send” button. I was sending some params which were not in the spec but were needed for error testing. The “inconsistent” marker to be honest became annoying when I was taking my cursor towards the Send button but since it goes over the “inconsistent” marker, it was opening the modal which contains the “Update endpoint spec” button. So I ended up clicking on that countless times. Please look into this. Maybe we can change the position of the marker. Thankyou so much.
Thank you for your feedback. We will forward this to our product team for evaluation.
Hello, I see that you’ve selected the “Auto Sync” mode during your testing. In this mode, the “Inconsistent” prompt appears to maintain consistency with the endpoint spec. If you switch to “Manual Sync” mode, this prompt won’t trigger, and changes will only sync when you manually click “Update.” For stable testing or non-positive test cases, we recommend using “Manual Sync” mode. Yes I am aware of this. I am referring to the user experience here which is the modal opening even on a quick hover through it. The accidental clicking on the “save to endpoint spec” due to this. I agree that this marker is important but the position of it (appearing right over the “Send” button) is making difficulties.
I really like Apidog and use it on daily basis. This is something that would greatly improve the UX. Thanks.
Thank you for your love of Apidog. We will take your suggestion into consideration.
