We needs to view test result when its already finished the testing and merged endpoint and tests from branch to main. but it cannot open the link and show pop-up alert.
The link you’re trying to access is a shared link from an iteration branch that has been archived or deleted, so it can’t redirect to the branch resources. Please check if the branch in the link has been archived or deleted.
In our branch so many used and merged by sprint, so how can see the retrospective results ?
Are you trying to view the test report from an archived branch using a previously shared link?
Yes,
we need to keep test result at all.
Generally, resources in branches have a lifecycle, and archived branches mean all resources in them are no longer active. May I ask why you need to view the test report from an archived branch?
Yes, they are always retained. However, viewing data in archived branches typically serves one purpose: retrospective analysis and issue tracking.
If you need to view content in an archived branch, you currently need to restore that branch first, then access the content within it.
How to view test result after we merged to main?
We cannot active branchs when it has finished.
So we want to view test result retrospective on main as well.
After merging to the main branch, you can still switch back to the original sprint branch to view the test report, as long as the branch hasn’t been archived or deleted. Test reports generated in sprint branches are stored within those branches, so you’ll need to switch from the main branch to the specific sprint branch to view them.
If your iteration branch has been archived, you can expand the archived iteration branch through the branch management function, restore it, and then switch branches to view the report.
It is difficult to look at past results., we have 20+ Archived branches that have merged to main.
And we don’t need to run the test on main again to see the test result.
Do all 20+ of your archived branches need to have their reports reviewed again? This is indeed a scenario we haven’t encountered before. If that’s the case, we’ll evaluate the possibility of enabling access to content in archived branches.
We just want to see the results of past tests, anywhere, but it should have a log showing which branch this case has been tested on and what the results were.
Do you have a way to view this?
- All test results are retained, but they are stored in their respective branches.
- Branches have lifecycles - when manually archived, it means your team member considers their lifecycle complete, so the contents are no longer actively maintained.
- If you need to review reports from an archived branch, you can currently restore that branch first, then switch to view it.
- We’ll evaluate all branch reports put into a single viewable location.
