Hi Team,

We are planning to use the AI features in Apidog and wanted some clarification regarding the setup. Could you please confirm whether it is mandatory to configure and use our own model provider along with its API key to access these AI functionalities?

Alternatively, does Apidog also offer built-in AI capabilities that we can use directly without integrating our own provider?

We would appreciate it if you could guide us on the available options and the recommended approach.

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding the usage of Apidog’s AI features, here are the details:

To use Apidog’s AI functionality, you need to configure your own model provider and API key. Apidog does not provide built-in AI model services.

Steps to set up:

  1. Ensure your Apidog client version is 2.7.18 or higher
  2. Organization/team admins can enable AI features in “Organization/Team Settings - AI Features”
  3. Click “+ Add Provider” to configure your model provider and API key

Currently supported providers include: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI Studio, Google Vertex, Azure OpenAI, and other providers via “Custom API Configuration”.

For best results, we recommend selecting more capable models.

If your organization has multiple teams, you can also configure AI features centrally at the organization level. Teams can then inherit these settings
