We’re looking at adding more developers to our apidog and are running into some issues with organization. We have a main team and project that hosts our public api but we for administration purproses we’d like to create other teams. I know you can grant organization members access to particular projects in different teams but this doesn’t scale well with many memembers or teams.
Also is it possible to create tests in a different project/team that reference a different api (I can create another post for this if that’s wanted)? For example let’s say we make api 1 read only permission since we progrmatically update it and it’s for reference, but our team members want to create tests in a different project or team.
Hi gimpyb , Good day, we will look into this issue and get back to you soon, Thanks for your kind understanding.
Hi gimpyb ,
Thanks for your time. For your first concern regarding managing permissions across multiple teams and projects, we understand that configuring access manually for many members can be challenging. Currently, the best workaround is using the “Invite via link” option, which allows for easier access management. However, we acknowledge that a user group feature would be a more scalable solution, and our team is considering its development.
As for your second question, referencing APIs from different projects/teams is already supported. You should be able to create tests in one project while referencing an API from another. Let us know if you need guidance on setting this up.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
