I’ve published my docs and in Advanced Settings/Documentation Search pressed “Re-index”. This action brings search feature (via Algolia) to docs site. Still in Default mode. Well if I do no want this kind search feature anymore, how can i revert it to back to search only endpoint names?
Thank you for reaching out. Regarding your documentation search settings, once enabled, the search functionality transitions to search in “Default” mode or “Algolia search” mode, replacing the original endpoint name filtering. This is the intended behavior.
We would appreciate it if you could elaborate on your use case and why the original endpoint filtering mechanism is preferred over the enhanced search capabilities.
Understanding your specific requirements will help us better assess potential improvements.
I am still in developing phase, so I am not sure that I need/want fulltext search. And in general I prefer optional features to remain optional. Or at least I want to see a warning about “point of no return”.
And one more question. I am not owner of project, onlu admin on it. So should I send you my email (person who turn ft search on) or project owner’s ? (Of course if I will decide to remove it)
I got another problem with “default” search. After I merged some endpoints from other branch into main, “search” cannot search through new pages. I get this behavour in both Edge and Chrome, but Firefox/Mozilla searches it as intended. Is this caused by my actions or is a bug?
BTW, I’ve tried re-index. With no success.
And some more info: after adding next portion to main branch, new pages (from this portion) are not searched through by Mozilla as well. Maybe some sticking info is stored under browser?
Did you search the same word in different browsers? Could you try searching in English instead of using “монітор”?
Now it searches through first merge portion. Both English and Cyrillic words in Edge, Chrome & Firefox. But pages I’ve added last still not used. Are there some delay in index applying?
Could you try searching for the name of the new Endpoint? Or create a new endpoint manually in English to test it out.
Cannot search by name too. I’ve added single endpoint with path “/testapi” and caption “Only for testing purpose” - and same result: not searched.
After adding a new endpoint, try refreshing the page and then searching again.
Done. With F5 & Ctrl+F5 - no effect.
And browser definitely shows this added page. But (as I see) when data.json is requested from usercontent.apidog.com it has no info on this page.
Still same result. Setting shows "Re-indexed a few seconds ago. Page refreshed with Ctrl+F5
skatz This seems to be a content-related bug that we can’t reproduce on our end.
Could you please export this endpoint as an Apidog JSON file and send it to me via DM? You can do this by the endpoint’s more menu in the left endpoint tree panel.
The file will only be used to locate this bug.
We have identified and resolved the issue. Please refresh the page and try searching again.
