Hi team, Do you have a plan that admin also could create a new Merge Request and other admins could approve and merge the MR in to a protected branch?
Otherwise I have to create 2 accounts, a editor and an admin. And creating a new MR by switching the account.
Hi there! We’ve recently optimized this feature. You can update to the latest version 2.7.45 or use the web version. This update allows you to configure whether branch admins can modify protected branches directly. For your scenario, you can disable this setting - then admins will need to create MRs to modify protected branches instead of making direct changes.
